Most of us travel to places on a regular basis, whereas for a large part of the population, traveling from one place to another using various modes of transportation is part of their daily routine. However, for individuals living with a disability, traveling can be challenging physically as well as mentally. Assist & Care Providers, a registered NDIS provider, offer dedicated Travel Support for NDIS participants to help them overcome the challenges and build confidence required for independent travel.
Our Supported Independent Living (SIL) services assign travel assistants to provide physical and mental training to help participants overcome the real-life challenges they face while traveling. We design customised support services for individuals with disabilities, ensuring their journeys are safe, comfortable, and hassle-free.
Every individual on the planet is inseparably attached to society. Society plays a very vital role in the overall growth of an individual as our behavior is shaped by everyday interactions with other members of society. Being part of a community involves engaging in a multitude of activities alongside fellow members. At Assist & Care Providers, we believe that a disability disrupts this interaction with other members of the community, thus affecting the overall growth of the person. It is a well-known fact that, along with a person’s family, the community is crucial for psychological development and well-being, as well as for personal and professional growth. Our team of experts at Assist and Care Providers evaluate the degree and specificity of challenges posed by your disability and carefully develop a customized training programme to support you overcoming all kinds of difficulties and challenges you face while interacting with the community or a member of any community. We aim at improving your social skills and encouraging you to feel comfortable during any kind of engagement with the community at large. Our all-encompassing support includes a diverse array of activities such as recreational pursuits, fitness initiatives, travel experiences, group interactions, active aging programs, lifestyle options, and weekend gatherings. ACP is dedicated to promoting participation in community programs that empower you to connect, flourish, and fully enjoy life.
We need to perform many activities. Some activities are common for every individual, whereas some are specifically related to the age and profession of the individual. At Assist & Care Providers, we are fully aware that a child needs to perform many activities which an adult may not need to. Similarly, a working or studying adults list of persons’ list of activities may differ from that of a child or an elderly person. But in all cases and circumstances, a person who has any kind of disability would find it hard to perform these daily activities which he is bound to undertake. By keeping all this in mind, we facilitate our training program in such a way so that we can assist each individual with their everyday common as well as person-specific activities and facilitate their journey toward independence. Assist and Care Providers always look forward to supporting you at a personal level and assisting you with your daily personal tasks and household duties.
Daily living skills are the foundation stone on which life skills can be nurtured and developed. Activities like bathing, dressing up, being able to travel using public or private transport, cooking, using the toilet, and the ability to use electronic devices can be categorized as daily living skills. Whereas advanced skills like communication, learning new things, obtaining education, socializing with others, performing tasks related to your work or playing any sport are life skills necessary to live a successful and fulfilling life. In the case of an individual suffering from a disability, all these small as well as complex tasks become a major challenge and can become a serious hurdle in their everyday life. Assist & Care Providers, as registered NDIS providers, successfully run training programs to empower you with the confidence, skills, and knowledge necessary to be able to do these activities with maximum ease and achieve independence in life. Our supported Independent Living (SIL) programme encompasses learning to use public transportation, managing a grocery budget, planning meals, and obtaining support with cooking. Apart from assisting you in overcoming daily living challenges and managing household tasks, we also facilitate you to attain more complex skills necessary to live a fulfilling and successful life.
Assist & Care Providers service is very flexible and uniquely tailored to assist you in your journey towards a self-sufficient life. To achieve the best long-term results, we assign a training program for each participant after going through a complete consultation about the nature and severity of the disability of the person. After completing the assessment, we come to the conclusion that you need personalized training. We provide specific support employees who help you in person. We offer support for everyday household tasks, traveling, learning new skills, studies, communication skills etc. Our assistance can be provided individually or in a group setting, customized to meet your specific needs and preferences.
At Assist and Care Providers, we are fully aware of the fact that certain skills can only be attained through interaction with a group of persons rather than being trained at individual level. That’s why we regularly organize some group or centre-based activities where our participants can learn many life skills, and gain confidence through interaction with other members of their community. Therefore, our objective in this area is to support you in getting along with groups and feeling confident in interacting or showcasing your thoughts and talent among communities. This not only provides an opportunity for personal expression but also seeks to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Our Supported Independent Living (SIL) programme is specific in focusing on assisting you with different life stages. As we know, each phase of life has its own set of challenges and we, with our team of experts, help in smooth transition between different stages of our participant’s life. For individuals with disabilities, it might be quite a challenge to learn the new skills required while entering the new phase of life, like for a school-going child, transitioning to college life is a challenge. Assist & Care Providers, as a registered NDIS Provider, work with these individuals and help to facilitate these transitions in a smooth and stress-free manner. We thoroughly acknowledge the needs of our participants while designing effective training programs which can help them in adapting to any new environment. Our approach is to make sure that these transitions and life-stage progressions add something positive to our life, thus empowering and promoting our overall wellness and comfort.
Assist & Care Providers, through their training services, not only enable individuals to become self-sufficient but also be skilled and confident enough to get and maintain the job of their preference. We firmly believe individuals, regardless of their disability, deserve the opportunity to work in a profession which suits and justifies their abilities. To facilitate this, it is crucial to train and upskill our participants, to sharpen their abilities and social skills which create a dependable, suitable, and sustainable income source. Our NDIS support services are tailored to help you secure and retain employment that aligns with your skills and intellect, while also promoting your personal development. Assist and Care Providers are dedicated to supporting you at every step of your profession, not only in maintaining your current role but also in progressing your career through promotions, all while enhancing your professional competencies along the way.
Assist & Care Providers, a registered NDIS provider, is dedicated to compassionate support of individuals with disabilities. We have a highly skilled team of experts, the necessary infrastructure and trained staff which can support families whenever they need short-term accommodation (STA), in-home respite, or emergency care. If someone is the caregiver of an individual with a disability, it becomes very much a 24-hour job without the possibility of any break. Respite care gives carers a chance to have a break from time to time while ensuring high-quality, person-centered support for individuals with disabilities. Our service provides a welcoming environment to all participants, which includes personal care, daily activities, and community access. Our services are available to all ages, be it children, teens, and adults or elderly individuals with disabilities. To make it more convenient for people who want to get respite care, we have options ranging from a few hours to several days of service. Funded through NDIS Core Supports or STA, our respite services are designed to promote wellbeing, independence, and peace of mind.
